Trails

Tappan Lake offers a variety of trails. Make sure to prepare for the hills and natural surface trails by wearing hiking shoes or boots and taking a water bottle. Additional asphalt trails are provided throughout the park to offer safe routes for walkers and bikers off of the main roads.

Please adhere to the following guidelines while enjoying the trails:

  • Stay on marked trails
  • Keep pets on a leash and clean up after them
  • No motorized vehicles on trails
  • Biking is permitted on paved trails within the campground

The Turkey Ridge Trail connects the park to a watchable wildlife area at the Beal Farm.  The Beal Farm is also the regional headquarters for the Buckeye Trail. The Buckeye Trail connects to Fox Trail and is the perfect starting point for a longer trek.  Find out more on the Buckeye Trail's Website.
