Bears & Bees Weekend with Teddy Bear Picnic

 Thurs, July 11th   

12pm-1:30pm       Explorers of Nature-Meet in the Nature Center to see what resources bees need to survive in nature. We will be making bracelets to demonstrate this.

2-3pm                    Area 4 Trail Hike- Meet at the trail head in area 4 to hike with us.

Fri, July 12th         

12-1pm                  Beehive Slime- Come to the Nature Center to make slime!

2-4pm                    Open Nature Center – Meet us in the Nature Center to see the observational beehive.

4:30-5pm               Life Cycle of a Bee Kids Craft- come to the Nature center to make a model life cycle of a honeybee.

9:30pm                  Movie at the Beach- Come on down to the beach to enjoy a movie and free popcorn. Pop will be for sale for $0.50. The movie will be rated (PG)

Sat, July 13th

9-11am                  Passport to Fishing- Learn how to fish at this introductory course that will go over casting, fishing knots and rigging, fish habits and handling, and local information. For ages 5-15. Door prizes will be given out.

12pm                     Teddy Bear Picnic- Bring your favorite teddy bear to the pavilion by the basketball courts to hear a story, make a craft, and have a picnic. You may also bring a brand new still in the packaging teddy bear to donate to Akron Children hospital.

2-4pm                    Explorers of Nature- Join us in the Nature Center to see how bears survive in the wild and what can make them die off.

6-7pm                    Honey Sugar Scrub- Come to the Nature Center to make a sugar scrub with honey! (Ages 16 and up)

7:30-8:30pm          Special Adult BINGO - Bring a $2 gift to the Activity Center. Ages 18 and over. -Sponsored by Stewart’s RV

Sun, July 14th    

9-10am              Non-denominational Church Service - Church Service at the amphitheater or the camp shelter in case of rain.

10-11:30am           Bob Hooker- Come to the Nature Center to hear about bees from Bob the Bee Guy!
