Tues, June 12

2-4pm                    Wii Games - Visit the Nature Center to play Wii games.

Wed, June 13

2-4pm                    Open Nature Center - Check out our fish and other creatures at the Nature Center, also watch Planet Earth-Fresh Water!       

Thurs, June 14     

7:30-8:30pm           Adult Craft ­- Create a cherry blossom masterpiece using pop bottles and paint at the Activity Center.

Fri, June 15

1:30-3:30pm          Open Nature Center - Learn about the fish in Tappan Lake, and make your own fish! 

4 pm                      Electroshock Demonstration - Meet at the Amphitheatre to see an electroshock demonstration given by ODNR. Learn about fish in Tappan Lake. See live lake fish, and a live demonstration of the electroshocking process. Bring the whole family!

7:30-8:30pm          Adult Bingo - Bring a $2 gift to the Activity Center. Ages 18 and over.

Sat, June 16

8-9am                    Mornings are for the Birds!! – Free coffee, tea, and pastries, as we observe the wildlife at the Nature Center and learn about the bird of the week!

10-noon                 Explorers of Nature - – Nature Detectives - For kids ages 4 to 15 to discover nature! This week learn how to safely observe and discover the amazing animals that live in Ohio!  Earn a limited edition prize for attending three Explorers of Nature programs during the season. Pre-registration is required at www.TappanLakeOhio.org or at Registration Office.  $5 per participant or $30 for all 8 sessions through August!  Meet at the Nature Center.

Noon-1                  Kids BINGO - Bring a full-size candy bar to the Nature Center.

3-5pm                     Passport to Fishing - Learn how to fish at this introductory course that will cover casting, fishing knots and rigging, fish habitat and handling, and local information. For ages 5-15. First time participants will receive a rod and reel (based upon availability) and everyone is encouraged to go fishing in Tappan Lake as part of the event. Rods and reels are provided by ODNR Division of Wildlife. Event takes place from 3-5pm, with an opportunity to fish until 6pm. Meet at Tappan Lake Beach Area.  Bring your own equipment or complete the program to receive a rod and reel!  Bait will be provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult; adult participation is encouraged. Preregistration is required; space is limited. Register online at www.tappanlakeohio.org under events. 7-9pm       

7-9pm                New Philadelphia Steel Drum Band – Meet at the basketball court to enjoy the percussive music made by the New Philadelphia Steel Drum Band.

Sun, June 17

9-10am                  Non-denominational Church Service – at the amphitheater or camp shelter in case of rain.

11:30-12:30pm            Kids Father’s Day Craft – Meet at the nature center to make a craft for a special person!
