Tappan Marina Meeting Recap
Tappan Marina Friends:
Thank you to all who attended the public input meeting for Tappan Lake Marina on Saturday, August 4th. The two major takeaways from the meeting were your desire for a quality restaurant facility, and regular information updates.
Restaurant/ Marina Update:
The selection process has begun for an architectural firm to develop a plan for Tappan Lake Marina. The plan will include:
- Renovations to the marina buildings and restaurant
- Improvements to parking, lighting and signage
- Enhanced access to waterfront and docks
- New restroom and shower facilities
An architectural firm will be selected this fall and perform design work during the off season. At the same time, we will also be reviewing the current restaurant operation so that we can provide an improved dining experience for our guests in 2019.
To help us with the design process, and to make sure we meet the needs of our customers and the Tappan Lake community, we are looking for volunteers who would like to serve on a small, informal advisory committee. A similar group provided invaluable input to us and our architect as we planned for the future of Seneca Lake Marina. If you are interested in helping, please contact John Olivier at jolivier@mwcd.org, or 330-343-6647, extension 2608. You can also use the same contact information to provide individual input at any time.
